Overview
Unfold is an astrology-focused startup, which utilizes public data and celestial placements to forecast significant moments for its users. By analyzing birth charts of public figures and correlating their life events with users who shared similar zodiac signs, the app aims to provide its users with personalized predictions and insights.
New logo
Unfold’s previous name was Zebrapad. Seeking to become more universal, they changed their name and decided to rebrand. I was asked to create a new logo with a loose inspiration from Japanese origami.

Final logo
The finalized logo design is of a paper fortune teller. Best representing Unfold’s mission statement: your life navigator.
Colors, typeface, and illustrations
Drawing inspiration from the existing app’s color palette, I streamlined the brand’s color scheme to establish a strong foundation of core colors.
Ad campaigns
Target audience
Unfold’s target audience is young adults- mainly women.
When sourcing images for the marketing material, I selected images featuring women of varying backgrounds and settings, and incorporated images that highlighted sisterhood or community bonds.
"I love being curious"
The emphasis of this ad campaign is on the roulette function of the Unfold app. The roulette presents users with varying prompts, such as enjoying walks on a pleasant day, picking up a new hobby, or reconnecting with an old friend. The roulette aims to spark users’ curiosity and present users with an opportunity to explore new experiences, hence the imagery of women in different elements.

This ad campaign uses phone mock-up images to showcase the app’s analytic capabilities, like graphs and charts. An important visual to this campaign is of the individuals smiling at their phones, portraying the positive user experience with the Unfold app.
