Being a child of immigrants meant I took up the role of being my parents’ personal translator. And being the eldest daughter meant I was a co-caretaker of my sisters. Witnessing firsthand the hard work and sacrifices my parents made to provide for our family instilled a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility into me.
My diligence resulted in scholarships for my high school education, where I was first introduced to graphic design. While I have always loved drawing, discovering vector art opened up a new outlet for my creative expression. From my initial experiences with Adobe Illustrator in class to exploring additional tutorials on YouTube and venturing into related programs like Photoshop and After Effects, I immersed myself in the world of digital art.
Art is the byproduct of abstract thought, and through years of trial and error, I have become a part of that creative process.
